Jocelyn Brown is amazing. The intro to "Somebody Else's Guy" is stunning and unusually upbeat for a tune about two timing love. Release in 1984, it peaked at #2 in the US r&b charts so not exactly hard to find but it's a tune with a really strong hook and instrumentation that refuses to get out of my head. The breakdown propels the song into a cool groove that takes the head nodding to a new level, the kind where one closes their eyes and enjoys a few minutes in a zone on the dancefloor.
As an aside, I will always try to upload original vinyl rips or 320kbps - I went through my files about a year ago to cull low-bitrate music but, alas, some tunes are indispensable!
